Jaipur 2017

























Jaipur City (Pink City), City of Palaces is an understatement. The Maharajahs of the 14th Century created numerous palatial buildings throughout the city. Pink Palace, Amber Fort and Havelis. Oh yeah…we rode some elephants up to the palace about 10minutes. The mahouts (elephant drivers) were kind to the elephants….however I’m pretty sure ‘texting and riding’ should be banned.

Badges! Badges! I don't need no stinking Badges!

What has become of me?  I've become that mom who lives vicariously through her 7 year old daughter.  Don't get me wrong.  I haven't signed her up for Toddlers and Tiaras or Honey Boo Boo's Texas Choice Pageants.  I signed her up for Brownies! Why? Girl Guides? Brownies? what have I done? Well, I have a problem.  I love badges.  I want to get badges...lots of them.  In fact I may buy some on Ebay...no kidding. Why badges? Well, I used to be a brownie from 1977-1979 (7-9yrs old).  I wore my brownie dress, scarf, beret with pride.  I enjoyed my Wednesday nights at St. Cuthbert's Church.  It was my first time in a church (I'm a Hindu and didn't know until I stepped into a church that I wasn't a Christian...that's a whole other post!) Brownies was a time I could do arts and crafts, sing songs, cook and bake and play with friends not from my school.  I did this for years.  Every week I would happily skip to the churc...

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

I tinerary Specially Designed For  ‘Mrs. Monica Gupta & Her Family’  ‘Temples & Neighborhoods’  This tour platter is beautifully set with the crown jewel attractions of North India. There is spirituality and there is romance in the tour. We also step off the tourist track to observe and experience a living museum where life and conditions as well as human spirits remain frozen in time.... Trinetra Tours. The itinerary will look like a bus tour on steroids....but each day has been carefully planned for maximum enjoyment.  Trinetra Tours helped design everything in this itinerary. They booked the hotels, transportation, all the drivers.  We spent about a month emailing back and forth making sure I had all the 'family visits' incorporated into each city visit.   Once the itinerary was worked out we were able to choose hotels based on comfort 3star to 5star.  Nothing was booked without a 'Tripadvisor' review check.   Da...
